Key Intervention by H.E. CHUM Sounry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Spokesperson:
1.As part of the Royal Government’s diplomatic mission, H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a telephone conversation with his Malaysian counterpart to discuss the organizing of a special meeting.
2.Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn also spoke with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to address the management of border tensions between Cambodia and Thailand, particularly regarding the implementation of President Donald Trump’s initiative for an immediate ceasefire.
3.Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn also sent a letter to ASEAN Secretary-General H.E. Kao Kim Hourn, outlining the Royal Government of Cambodia’s stance and updating him on the latest developments regarding the tensions between Thailand and Cambodia.
